My big 5-0 birthday is around the corner.  I wanted to send out a fun and thoughtful 50th birthday gift guide to commemorate the big occasion. If you are super ambitious you can do 50 gifts that make you think of them. I did this for husbands 50th birthday and it was fun. The whole family got in on collecting his favorite snacks, socks, tee shirts, shampoo, lottery tickets, etc.  

On this 50th gift guide I have included 6 categories that I think define their 50th birthday.

• Gifts for Her - I included both splurge jewelry gifts like these earrings or this necklace.  I also have fun gifts like this Bonnie + Bud basket, Victoria Beckham lipstick or sweatshirt from friends and family.

• Gifts for Him - Gifts for your husband, boyfriend or brother can be hard.  For him I love a good useful leather gift like this wallet, dufffle bag or loafers. Splurge on him for the big 50th and gift these cufflinks, over the top Sheepskin Coat or a forever Movado watch. Tap into their favorite hobby and gift a mystery tacklebox kit or this golf cart heater.

• Commemorate - What better way to celebrate the birthday person than commemorate their first 50 years. Make a special photo album, have a family picture taken or create a Heirloom (video message) that they will cherish. This one is labor intensive but so thoughtful!
